Ready to Forgive
“Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.”
Colossians 3:13 advises individuals to be tolerant and forgive others, just as the Lord forgives us. It underscores the importance of understanding and patience, and urges believers to reflect God's character by extending grace to others. Ultimately, the verse promotes forgiveness and compassion as keys to peace and reconciliation.
One thing I love to see when I'm worshiping the Lord in church is the variety of people that He has chosen to be a part of our family. We all come from different backgrounds with many cultural differences. There are so many opportunities to misunderstand and offend one another. Should we play it safe and stick to our own kind? Sure, because none of us have any offending faults! ROFL Let's be honest: we're all offensive in one way or another. But, praise God, He has forgiven us! So let's get in there and mix it up with all our brothers and sisters in Christ. Be ready to forgive and let the Holy Spirit make us one!
