Here Within Your Reach

Zacchaeus Climbs a Tree - AI generated by Lady V

If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.
— Jeremiah 29:13 NLT

These words from Jeremiah 29:13 in the New Living Translation remind us of the unfailing promise of God's presence and availability to those who seek Him with all their hearts. It's a comforting assurance that even in the midst of uncertainty and difficulty, the Lord is near and eager to reveal Himself to those who diligently pursue Him. Wholehearted pursuit implies unwavering dedication, sincere longing, and a genuine desire to know and experience God's love and guidance. It is an invitation to let go of half-hearted efforts and distractions, and to fully commit to the pursuit of a vital, personal relationship with our Heavenly Father. When we seek Him with undivided hearts, He promises to make His presence known, leading us into a deeper understanding of His truth and a closer walk with Him. May we be encouraged by these words and embrace the invitation to seek God wholeheartedly, knowing that He will be found by those who diligently search for Him.

I've done enough half-hearted searches in my life to know the difference. You're usually searching because someone else requires it of you and you could care less if you find what you're looking for, possibly fearing you will. But when your heart aches with need to find what you are looking for, you leave no stone unturned or resource untapped. You stop looking only from exhaustion or lack of light, only to resume again as soon as you can. So many believers stopped searching and are merely playing church, never truly connecting or knowing the presence of our Father. Climb that tree like Zacchaeus who needed to see Jesus or press through the crowd like the woman with the issue of blood to merely touch the hem of His garment. Don't let religious doctrine stop you. He is here within your reach. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and praise on your lips and sincerity in your heart. Let go and let the Holy Spirit bring you into the Father's loving arms.
