Your Faith
"What do you want me to do for you?" These powerful words were spoken by Jesus Himself when encountering a blind man in the Gospel of Mark. This incredible encounter is a testament to the unwavering faith that can move mountains and, in this case, grant the gift of vision. Have you ever yearned to witness this divine power in your own life? "My Rabbi," the blind man declared, "I want to see!" His unwavering belief in Jesus' divine abilities opened the door to his healing. When Jesus pronounced, "Go, for your faith has healed you," the blind man's eyes were opened, and he began to see the world in its true beauty. Don't let self-doubt get in your way. Jesus, the embodiment of love, compassion, and supernatural power, extends His compassionate hand to lead you out of darkness and into the light. This experience goes beyond physical healing. It is an invitation to follow Jesus down the road of divine purpose, witnessing His miracles firsthand, and sharing His love with the world. To equip you for this journey, He has sent the Holy Spirit to dwell within you, guiding and empowering you to be His representatives to the world.
I had a very big wake up call just the other day. I realized that I had been blinded by the age of reason that has stunted the faith of many believers in Western culture. I was asked to pray for something that my Western mind immediately dismissed as impossible. The person asking had more faith than I did and reminded me that the Word said that if we ask anything in Jesus name, in faith and doubt not, we would receive it. I was still skeptical and as a result, I watered down what I prayed initially. Needless to say, the Holy Spirit did not let me get away with that and I felt troubled in my spirit. I prayed a second time, this time starting out by asking the Lord to forgive me for my initial response. In obedience, I prayed for what was requested and more or less said, "According to your faith, let it be so." Who am I or any of us to stand between what our God can do and the faith of someone crying out for Him? Believers, it is time for us to throw away the world's rulebook if we are truly going to be Spirit-driven vessels, and let the Holy Spirit lead and empower us to do what we have been called to do in these last days.
